Vegas Arcade Games
Arcade Games
The Arcade Games section at William Hill Vegas contains 10 games that don’t comfortable fit into any of the other sections of the online casino. These games often include a video game element to them and are the kind of games that you can now find being played in real life Bricks and Mortar casinos around the world.
Virtual Horses
Virtual Horses is a racing Arcade game with fixed odds. Each race contains 8 horses and you can place a bet in pretty much the same way as you would in a normal horse race. There are a total of 72 different wagers that you can place (obviously you don’t have to place them all!). Once you have placed your bets the race begins. The graphics in the game are actually pretty good – they aren’t up to the standard of some of the more modern online video slots, but are easily good enough to make watching the race entertaining. Depending on the outcome of the race, you either win or you lose. There are hundreds of different horses and colours so the actual race running doesn’t get boring – Virtual Horses might almost be even more fun that real horseracing!
Keno
Keno is a very popular game, having worked its way into casinos around the world from its Asian inception and this version is a very adequate online Keno game. This version has 80 lottery style balls that you can choose from. Keno is very easy to play. Simply choose between 1 and 15 numbers and when you are happy start the game. 20 balls will be drawn, and the more you match the more you will win!
Triple Hi Lo
Hi Lo games are really simple to play – you literally just have to guess whether the next number shown is higher or lower than the current one. The difference with this game is that you get three reels to play with, allowing you in theory to play for longer and build up a bigger run of correct guesses – and with that more winnings! You start by placing your wager and the choosing whether to play with all three reels or not. Each reel has the numbers 1-13 on them. All three reels will spin and you then click the “Hi” or “Lo” button above or below the reel you want to spin. If you are right then you can continue guessing until you decide to take the money; however if you get a guess wrong you will lose everything that you had won that go.
Quick Bet Wheel
This is a very very basic game loosely based on Roulette. On the screen is a wheel with 31 numbers on (0-31). Clicking on a section of the wheel places a chip on that section allowing you to bet on it. The aim os for you to correctly predict where the “Clicker” (there is no ball) will stop. If you bet on the correct numbers then you will win. This game is very simple, with basic graphics and to be honest – you’d be better off playing a real version of Roulette, and bearing in mind that there are 6 versions of online Roulette at William Hill Vegas, including a really nice “classic” version, its a bit of a wonder why this game is included at all.
Quick Bet Cards
Here’s an interesting concept – take the numbers off a roulette wheel and replace them with a deck of cards! I like the idea and the game is nice and easy to play. You start with a typical roulette board, only instead of the numbers 0-38/39 you get all the playing cards in a normal deck laid out in their suits in 4 rows of 13 with the two jokers at one end. You click on the cards, or combination of cards as you would if you were betting on Roulette and then spin the ball. Depending on where the ball lands, your win is calculated. One nice touch is that when you hover over a card when placing a bet it will tell you what the return rate is, helping you to be more strategic in your play.
Virtual Dogs
Virtual Dogs is the dogs equivalent of Virtual Horses (reviewed above) – it plays exactly the same way. Simply choose your bet and then press start to watch the virtual dogs race along the track and see if you win! Is it better than Virtual Horses? No – they are both identical in format and gameplay; it just depends on which kind of racing you prefer!
Spoof
Its amazing that in this digital age that even a game as old as Spoof can make an appearance in an online casinos, but thats exactly what has happened. For those of you that don’t know how to play, Spoof is a coin (or sometimes dice) based game, where you have to guess the number of coins in someones hand. The screen shows three closed hands. You put your chips on the number of coins that you think are in each hand, and then if you want, you can add some supplementary bets including the total number of coins, whether all the hands will have the same number of coins and more. Then press Start and the hands will unfurl to show you how many coins they are holding. If you are right then you win your stake multiplied by the odds. Surprisingly, its quite easy to build up a decent bank balance if you think strategically on what some might think is a simple game.
Quick Bet Golf
Without actually looking at this game, its hard to imagine how you would turn golf into a quick game, let alone a betting game. However, Quick Bet Golf is a fixed odds betting game where you bet on the outcome of three holes of golf. The computer chooses three holes from its memory banks at random and you then choose two golfers to play against each other from a drop down list. Once you have done this, then the 35 different betting options are populated with specific odds and you bet on the outcome. Once you have placed your bets you watch the edited highlights of the playoff and hope that you were right with your selections!
Quick Bet Darts
If golf isn’t your thing, then maybe darts is, and happily for you William Hill Vegas have a Quick Bet Darts game for you to enjoy. You place chips on the dart board, trying to predict where the arrows will land – and there are some massive potential returns; a bullseye returns at 110/1! Once you have finished making your selection, then the game starts and three darts are thrown at the board. If a dart lands in the area you have a chip in then you win your wager multiplied by the odds return.
Racing Cards
This game is a slight misnomer, as the cards don’t actually race. Six columns of six playing cards are displayed on the main body of the screen with a betting option underneath. You place your bets under the card stack that you think will reveal the highest points total of the six cards added together. Number cards are worth that much, whereas picture cards are worth 10 points and Aces are worth 1 point. The cards are revealed one row at a time, and the totals are accumulated at the bottom of the screen. If you bet on the correct column then you will win a multiplier depending on the points total of the cards in the winning stack – the higher the points total then the bigger multiplier will be attached to your stake.
