Vegas Casino Games

The Casino Games section of William Hill Vegas is where you will find the card games. There are 12 online card games that you can play from Solitaire through to Poker. Each of the games can be played in a pop out box on your browser without any downloading, and all are available to play in Demo mode with free money, so you can practice before you start playing for real.

Vegas Solitaire

Vegas solitaire is a classic card game that you normally play at home on your own when you are bored. It uses all 52 cards in a standard pack and these cards are laid out face down, in seven rows, with the first row having one card, the second row two, the third three and so on until row seven has seven cards in it. The last card to be dealt in each row is dealt face up.

The object of the game is to reveal all 52 cards in order and stack them up on the four areas at the top of the screen. You can do this buy moving the visible cards on top of each other in a legal move. Legal moves mean that you place a card of an opposite colour suit on a card that is one value higher than the one you are moving. You can move Ace cards straight to the top piles and then build on them too. If you cant go then you draw from the stockpiled cards until you complete the game or you cant play a legal move any more. You can play two versions of the game – 1 Draw and 3 Draw Vegas Solitaire. All this means is that when the cards are drawn from the stockpile they are either drawn 1 or 3 cards at a time.

Blackjack

No online casino worth its salt doesn’t have at least one version of Blackjack to play – its one of the original card games that you would find in any casino anywhere in the world, so its nice to know that William Hill Vegas has a really nice version of it in its online casino.

The aim of the game is to make your cards score higher in value than the dealers. You play with a standard deck of cards (or in some versions multiple decks of cards) and decide, depending on the first two cards that you are dealt, whether to add more cards to your hand in order to beat the dealer or not.

To start you are dealt two cards. Each card has a value; number cards are worth their face value, picture cards are worth Ten and Aces are worth either 1 or 11 depending on which number is more helpful to you. You can either “stick” with the cards that you have, or draw additional cards to try and improve your hand. Once you are happy with your hand you then compare it with the dealer. If your hand score is higher than the dealer, then you win!

Hi Lo Cards

Hi Lo cards is a very simple game to play – so simple that you wont find it in a traditional “Bricks and Mortar” Casino; this is very much an online casino only phenomenon!

All you have to do is predict whether the next card to be drawn is going to be higher or lower than the previous card. The game uses an ordinary deck of cards and after each successful turn the odds on you guessing either higher or lower are shown (so if the card was a Queen, the odds on the next card being higher will be much more than if it was lower). As we said – this is a very simple game to play and quite addictive.

Super Blackjack

Its Blackjack with extra sidebets! William Hill Vegas already has a version of the classic Blackjack game so this more advanced version is for all you online card game players that fancy an extra challenge.

The main game plays like a normal game of Blackjack – use your hand to beat the dealer by getting a higher points score than them without busting by getting over 21. Cards are worth their face value in points although picture cards are worth 10 points and an Ace is worth either 1 or 11 depending on which you choose. If you beat the dealer then you win. However, you can also place sidebets on the outcome of the game. You can place side bets on what the dealers score will be, whether they bust, what their first card will be and many more – all you have to do is click on a chip value and then click on the board area that has that bet. This means that even if you lose the hand you can still win cash! At the end of the round all winnings are automatically calculated and paid to you. This is a great version of Blackjack and you should give it a try!

Poker Twist

Poker Twist is an interesting little game combining Poker with a fixed odds betting game. The rules are simple – 5 cards are dealt and you win an amount of money depending on the outcome of those cards.

Before the cards are dealt, you need to make your bet. Instead of betting by round as you would in a normal game of poker, there is a board, similar in structure to a roulette board. You choose your chips and then place the chip on the board trying to predict the outcome of the 5 cards. So you can bet on the number of black or red cards, number of picture cards, whether a poker hand will be made and a lot more. The game is deceptively simple to play and the number of options available to you makes the betting flexible and fun.

Baccarat

Baccarat is a classic casino game and a welcome inclusion in William Hill Vegas. Its a simple game to play which is why it is so popular. In this version, Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards which are all shuffled together before the game starts. The aim of the game is to successfully predict whether you or the banker has a higher hand, or whether they are tied.

You will be dealt two cards face up, as will the Banker. The cards are given a points value – Aces = 1 point, picture cards are worth no points and the number cards are worth their face value. The value of the two cards are added together and in the case of the total being higher than ten, only the second digit is used – so the points score will always be between 0 and 9. In some occasions you will draw a third card depending on the scores of the hands;

  • If either the player or banker had a score of 8 or 9 with the first two cards then the game ends and no other cards are dealt.
  • If the player’s score is less than 6 then they get a third card.
  • If the player has 6 or more then the banker gets a third card if their score is less than 6.
  • If the player got a third card then the banker getting a third card is decided by these rules:
  • If banker’s score is less than 3 then always draw a 3rd card.
  • If banker’s score is 3 then draw a new card unless player’s 3rd card was an 8.
  • If banker’s score is 4 then draw card if player’s card was worth between 2-7 inclusive.
  • If banker’s score is 5 then draw card if player’s 3rd card was 4,5,6 or 7.
  • If banker’s score is 6 then draw card if player’s 3rd card was 6 or 7.
  • If bankers score is 7 or more then don’t draw a 3rd card.

Once the final scores for the hands is worked out then depending on which way you bet, you will either win or lose.

Beat The Dealer

Without a doubt the simplest and quickest game available at William Hill Vegas, Beat the Dealer does exactly as it says on the tin – you are dealt one card from a 6 pack shuffled deck, and if it is higher than the dealers drawn card then you win. If the cards are the same then the bet is returned. Its as easy as that and because of this its a very fast way to win or lose your money!

Three Card Brag

Brag is a classic game played throughout the centuries by many people and you can now play this 3 card online version at Will Hill Vegas. This version actually has two games in one – the 3 card brag part of the game and an additional “Pairs” side game. You can bet on both games individually.

Once you have laid your bets, you and the dealer are dealt three cards. The dealers cards are dealt face down so you cant see them. You then have the option to Play or Fold. If you fold the round is over and you lose the money. If you opt to Play then the Dealer will show their cards. The dealer needs to show a hand that has at least one Queen or better to qualify to play. If they don’t then you win automatically. If you draw a Pair in your hand you also win on the Pairs bonus game if you had placed a bet on it. The highest hand that you can draw is three threes.

Casino Poker

An online poker game with a twist – not only do you play a fairly standard game of video poker, but if you place an additional bet before the hand, then getting a Royal Flush will win you the Progressive Jackpot!

You start by choosing your stake and then paying to play. You have the option of betting a further chip to be included in the Progressive Jackpot game. Progressive Jackpots are jackpots that increase in value all the time anybody (not necessarily you) are playing the game, and are paid out when one lucky player gets dealt a Royal Flush. After you start the game 5 cards are dealt face up, and you have to decide whether the hand (if any) that is made is better than the dealers. If you think it is you then place another bet (which is double the first). The dealers cards are shown and if you are correct then you win. The amount you win will depend on the hand that you hold.

Keep Em Going

Keep ‘Em Going is another card game at William Hill Vegas that gives you the chance to win a Progressive Jackpot as well as the in game cash prizes too. Its based on a version of 5 card Stud Poker and plays the same way – you place three bets to play (with an optional bet if you want to participate in the Progressive Jackpot) and then you are dealt three cards. These cards are dealt face up. You then have the option to continue with your bet or Pull you bet. If you pull your bet then one of your bets is removed and the next card is revealed. If you continue with your bet then you play on at the maximum value of your bet . You can do this with your fifth and final card too. When all the cards have been revealed then whoever has the highest scoring hand wins!

Heads Up Poker

Head up poker is quite simply and online card game version of Texas Hold ‘Em – the most poker version of online poker and offline poker in the world. The idea is to make the best possible hand from the 7 available cards (2 in your hand and 5 community cards that are laid out on the table). You start by placing a bet to play, and then get dealt two cards face down. You then decide whether to play or fold. If you play then three more cards are dealt face up. You can then bet again or fold, and another card is drawn. A final round of betting happens and the final card is drawn. Using the five cards on the table in combination with the two cards in your hand the idea is to make a hand that is better than the dealers.

Hold Em Poker

This is not your normal version of Hold ‘Em Poker. The chaps at William Hill Vegas has amended the game slightly to allow you the choice of 4 different hands to bet on.

The scoring for the hands is the same as the scoring for Texas Hold ‘Em poker. You start by placing a bet and then pressing start. The dealer will be dealt two cards face up, and then you will be deal four sets of poker hands, each of two cards. You can then choose which hand to play. You decide whether you or the dealer will win with the hand you choose and the amount that you will win is displayed next to each hand. Its an entertaining game that has a surprisingly mathematical edge to it – is it better to bet evens on a pair of Aces that you will win the hand, or to bet at 4/1 that your had will lose? Intriguing.
